Need help saving props

Hello,
I am having some difficulty when I try to save props and was wondering if someone could give me some help.
First, have a an old Poser prop and I have modified it and adjusted the textures so that it now looks good in DAZ Studio and I want to save it with a new name and in a different loction. However when I try to save it as a figure/prop asset I get an error message that says I must select a weight mapped figure to save figure assets. It then tells me how to convert it to a weight mapped figure. But I want the item as a prop not a figure.
Secondly, How do you save a prop that has sub-props parrented to it? In Poser you could select all of the propes and save them as one 'set' but I can't seem to do this in DAZ Studio.
Any help with these issues would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies.

You're getting that error because it isn't a prop, it's a figure with bones in it. I'll be back online later, I'll go through what you can do to convert your object.
Save as a Scene Asset instead of a Figure/Prop Asset. You can do this with unconverted Poser figures, but it's best to convert them to Weightmapping first.
One gotcha with this process is that it will save the whole scene — remove any lights, cameras and objects you don't want saved as part of the set.
I would just use a Sceen subset for this, though you can also try Scene Assets if you wish.
I'm fairly sure I remember the last time I tried that, I discovered I can't save unconverted Poser Figures with Scene Subset. Props were OK, but Figures had to be converted to Weightmapped.
