Content Management Service 4.8.1.7. Is this the newest version?

If not how does one acquire the newest standalone version?

I had a mess again with my Smart Content area going belly up. Not sure why this area remains so frigging buggy but it is what it is.

Currently reimporting Metadata after uninstalling both DAZ Studio and CMS and reinstalling. Installing DAZ Studio via the DIM doesn't seem to install the CMS for me though so I had to hunt down the version that's on my system: C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1\cms and install it myself.

Quite annoying and time consuming. I've better things to do with my time than this stuff.

Thanks

I believe that is the current version. You can uninstall and reinstall from C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1\cms. That is where the installer is located

Yes, aware of the location but was wondering about the version. I guess it's good. The metadata is back but allot of my own data is missing, so annoying. I have to redo all that again for the umpteenth time. GRRRRRRRRRRR

I know its been stopping for a lot of people at random. Not sure if there is an issue there, but hopefully people are reporting it as a bug so they can get it sorted out if there is a problem.

Once you get your custom categories set up, be sure to Export User Data so you won't have to redo it all if the database gets corrupted.

Yea, I always forget to do that. I just wish DAZ would set it up so that content data from end users would be written into some backup file for the program to access as it's rewriting the data base so us end users don't have to redo it all when we forget to take that extra step. QUITE annoying!
