I just bought the dForce Hair for Big Cat 2 - I loaded the ordinary Lioness actor added the
Oso material and tried to simulate with D-force but gota a notice "No object to simulate"
So what is the DForce with this product?
I am not supposed to load a LAMH or Catalyzer actor? am i!

What version of DS do you use? The new dForce hair features were introduced in 4.11.
Ok i uppgrade to 4.11 AND I STILL GET THE SAME NOTICE !
Usless ******** product it is!
You need to use 4.11 - if you don't currently want to change the General Reelase version install the Public beta instead (currently they are the same).
I am using the 4.11 i updated it from 4.10 but the problem remains!
Please list the exact steps you are taking.
I am in the middle of something else I'd check to be sure, but ... I seem to recall there is a hair 'object/itrem' that needs adding, NOT just the textures for that. Unless that gets added there won't be a dFiorce item in the scene.
I Load the Big cat - I add the OSO fur texture file-I click on simulate
Nothing happens- Even after adding the OSO there is nothing
resembling any fur on the cat to begin with!
Setp-by-step ..
Load DAZ Biig Cat 2.duf (Figues> Animals> or My Library\Animals\DAZ Big Cat 2)
Load Oso Big Cat 2 Fur .duf ((Hair> Body> or My Library\Animals\DAZ Big Cat 2\Hair)
Load a texture (Materials> Iray> Hair> Hair Colors> or My Library\Animals\DAZ Big Cat 2\Breeds\Oso3D)
and render.
I don't see the hair results until I render
double post
When I load the actual hair/fur object I see the 'guide hairs', but as you say don't see the actual hair until I render (and if I simulate before I render I see neither cat nor hair ... bug report in and accepted)
I finaly found the Fur under hair menu in smart content - But as soon as i start the Render my Computer totally Freezes.
Even the clock stopps! what wrong with this product?
Strand based hair requires that a lot of data be trasnferred to Iray - across the PCIe lanes if you ar eusing the GPU. That does tend to freeze, or at least slow, the system for a bit. Depending on the specifications you may need to let it sit for a while. Strand based hair is quite slow to render too, as you may already be aware from sets that used baked strands from other applications (e.g. some of Neftis' recent hairs).
