The pose sliders always move the bones to the opposite of my wish!

There is something extremely mystic in the way the pose sliders work! I enjoy making poses but *everytime* I move a slider, the bone always goes againts my wish! LOL...

Is there a rule of thumb how the movement of the sldiers correspond to the bone movements?

Workaround: In the last nano second before making the move, reverse direction;)

In my experience, no. To be more specific, I frequently encounter sliders that work in the opposite way to what is expected. Sometimes they do work as expected, sometimes not. It is most commonly found with sliders, again in my experience, that involve limits ranging from negative to positive values, as opposed to those with limits from 0 upwards. It can be annoying at times, but, as Sven says, one needs to just keep one eye on the viewport and reverse gears when required.

I already tried, but ,damn, they are faster then me!

To be honest, I've just gotten used to wiggling it a little to see which way I want it to move. :P It's also why I disable Iray preview when I'm posing because it's even more irritating to wait for the Iray viewport to refresh so I can move it the way I really wanted it to move!

The newer figures are actually better. I can remember when there was a difference (for example) between the right and left shoulder and which way sliding right on the Front-Back slider would move the shoulder.

I usually expect them to move how labelled if labeled

such as open shut would be left open righ shut

    skirt left right etc

more obscure are twist bend side to side frown

Morph sliders very often do NOT move the mesh in the direction that they are labeled. I consider that a Daz/PA/QA failure. It annoys me. It isn't hard to label the morph to match the direction of  movement. They just don't bother, as far as i can tell.

Morphs for open/close and such should be no brainer; if there is a mistake with them it is due to the morph maker. What I cannot understand, are the weird principles according to which the bone sliders are moving - and they are really counter-intuitive.

Many seem to move one way on the left and the opposite way on the right.

There are a lot of extremely well hidden great features in DS. Maybe there is a possibility to unify the bones rotating too:-)
