Daz Horse 2 Morphs

I just downloaded Daz Horse 2. Whenever I import the horse, the morphs are not there. I know this horse included morphs. How do I import it with all the morphs? Thanks.

I noticed that at the right pane, there are icons of 3 hexagons next to each imported item. On an item that has morphs, the hexagons look like solid cubes, but the 3-hexagon icon next to the daz horse is only 2 dimensional. Maybe the icon needs to look like solid cubes in order for the morphs to work? I am terrible at describing things, so I hope my problem is understood.

What do you mean by 'import'?

Are you loading the Horse from the Content Library or the Smart Content, and what are you loading exactly?

I'm using Daz 4.5. Are you new to Daz or do you use Poser? Importing is how we bring objects to the scene. Again, I'm terrible at describing things.

I think it's Smart Content. I'm loading (importing) the .cr2 file.

Importing is different to loading from the library. I load from the library when I am using poser and DAZ 3D products. I import if I am using a non Poser or in your case non DS format, ie a prop that is in obj format and not a DS format.

As this is The Horse 2 that you are using, shouldn't you be loading a .duf file rather than a CR2

Importing is when you use File > Import in DAZ Studio.

When you select an item from the Content Library or Smart Content, you are 'loading' the item into the Scene not importing it, that may avoid some confusion for you. The DAZ Horse 2, loads from a file called DAZ Horse 2.DUF, which is a DAZ User File, and not a Cr2 (Poser) file.

When I select the Horse 2 in the Scene pan, and look in the Parameters pane, there are several morphs under Actor, Breeds followed by Heads and Necks and finally Torso and Legs.

How did you install the Horse 2, using DIM (DAZ Install Manager), or did you download and install the files yourself. The older DAZ 3D Horse was called the Milennium Horse and it was in Poser Formats (CR2), are you sure you have the correct one?

I installed Horse 2 with DIM. I'm looking at the Smart Content tab, and all it's showing me is "All" with no files to click on as per the instructions.

Are you saying that you imported the OBJ file?

Your Smart Content is not working, it requires the CMS (Content Management Service) to be running as a process before it is populated. ALL content will appear in the Content Library pane. If you cannot see it, go to Window > Tabs (panes) > Content Library, and then dock the pane wherever you want.

Once in the Content Library, go to DAZ Studio Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Animals, and you will find an icon for loading the DUF file there. If all you did was import and OBJ, there will be no morphs or rigging (bones) so it wont work.

For me the horse loads with morphs but untextured - can you show a screenshot of the file you are loading as it appears in the interface, not the loaded hose itself.

I managed to find Content Management Service, and it is running as a process. However, I still don't have all my content under Smart Content. The Millenium Horse is there, but not Daz Horse 2.

I copied the files to the same location the Millenium horse is, and I managed to find Daz Horse 2 in Content Library with all the morphs. Yay! Problem solved.
