How to set a pose without translating position?

I'm starting to do some animations, and one of the most annoying things is how some of the static poses, as well as animated poses, will change my characters position to something else. Is there a way to retain my characters current position and rotation while also maintaining the translation data in the animation, but just offset from my characters position?

For instance, if my character just did a punch, and he's in one spot, and I want him to do a flying jump kick with an animation pose I have, how would I have him do the flying jump from the current position instead of sending him to 0,0,0 again?

Using Ctrl-click can enable you to selection various options for the pose, such as translations.
