Can't connect Daz3DIM at home, but can at work

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I'm able to connect and download stuff through Daz3DIM when I'm at work, but can't connect when I'm at home. Here at home we're on a Verizon FiOS network. I've been searching the forums (and Googling off-site as well) but haven't found any specific directions on how to solve the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks. I was thinking the same thing, but I wanted to reach out to the community/forums first just in case I was missing something.

    It's your Fios system. I had this happen to me earlier in the year. I could only connect at home through a VPN.  I bet you enabled the Parental Controls app that Verizon is pushing.  It replaces the basic parental control stuff in the Quantum router GS-1000 with some not user controlable system from McAfee.  And for whatever reason, McAfee has the DAZ DIM on block somehow and they directed me to Verizon, who directed me right back to McAfee.

    The only way to get rid of it is to uninstall the verizon app from any device that is using it, and then restore your router to factory settings.  It's a real pain in the a** if your have a lot of custom IP assigns like I had.
