(SOLVED) some items won't install after update to 4.11

The are showing up as grayed out with the circle/download icon.
This was not the case before upgrading to 4.11. Could i have done something to the database?
I install everything via DIM. Everything is default, except I use drive D: instead of C:
What's odd is there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to what is showing as needing to be installed, nor does it seem to be full packages.
For Example the Character Andre, he appears in the content library, but not his materials and he shows up as needing to be installed.
Its hundreds of products.
I ran database maintenance, reimported metadata.
Now I can go item by item and reinstall through the install tab, is there a way, to not have to click item by item to download?
I'll be sitting here for a week if i have to click item by item.
If it was a full rpoduct missing, that would be one thing, but its bits and pieces of products near as I can tell.
Any thoughts on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Thought I had this solved but i'm still getting items like Genesis 8 head morphs body morphs show up as uninstalled (is greyed out with a square box with a "U" on it.)
I went to DIM and tried unistall then reinstall and no luck.
Anyone have a clue? There are about 60 random items.
Windows 10, Daz Studio 4.11. Everything is default intall paths through DIM. (Except use D: not C:)
Did not have htis issue with 4.10
screen shot of what I'm seeing in install tab.
i have the same problem - Umi . after having to uninstall anbd reinstall Daz Studio and related files .. due to Daz Studio crashing. now i have over 200 items that will not install :( :(:(
I ran the DB maintenance tools and that took care of most of the issue (there were over 2500 items). I let it run, when I woke up I rebooted and it seemed it was clear. Came back from work, fired up DAZ and there were 60 more.
I'm guessing something is corrupting my database, but I can't figure out what.
I put in a ticket with my logs and screen caps. I'm at a loss. It was fine in 4.10, fine in the 4.11 beta. The only change was the full Beta install. I have a plain vanilla install, through DIM for everything to the default locations. (I have a machine that I only use for Daz).
Very weird. I'm sure it's something very basic I'm doing wrong. Just can't figure out what it is.
Aussie, try this on your items that won't install:
Pick one and right click on the item(I'm assuming you have the grayed out icon with the square thing with a "U" on it, that's what I was being shown on mine).
I'm at work so I can't remember exactly what the pop up menu choices are, but I think it's load metadata? Just try it for one item.
Close Daz Studio. Reopen and go back to your Install tab and see if you have the Circle with the arrow icon and can then install with the double click.
If that works, at least you can install that way (though for 200 items I'd have some cold beer (or other beverage of your choice)close by to keep it amusing).
The rebooting seems to be the key in this process. So if that works, do the right click thing for 20-30 items at a time. Reboot. Install. Repeat.
I've got my fingers crossed that I won't have new items today, didn't have time to check this morning before heading to work. If there are, I've got bigger problems.
If I get something from Tech Support I'll post it here in case it can help you out.
Tech support has not been silent, but what's causing the issue is still being worked on, they respond when I'm not there and vice versa. Time zone differences are a bitch.
I had forgotten that there was an update to DIM not too long ago, (I do all my installs through DIM) and I'm starting to think that may be at least part of the culprit as the issues seem to be contained to the content DB.
The right click on item, reload metadata, close Daz Studio, reopen then re-install does seem to work. (You can do the reload in batches at least) I made a list of previous items that I had corrected in this manner and they didn't reappear in the Install tab.
Unfortunately I don't know enough about the database utilities to try and come up with a more efficient solution.
Since the update to DIM I installed yesterday, I'm having the same problem. Everything showing in Content Library but greyed out boxes in Smart Content. I'm using Daz Studio 4.10 along with the beta version of 4.11.
Seems to confirm my "caused by DIM, not 4.11" theory Mollytabby.
Haven't heard a better approach from Tech support yet, but what worked for me was:
click on "content database maintenance" (hamburger with an arrow icon), click "re-import metadata" box. (You can try the re-import metadata queue, that did nothing for me, however).
Now since i have a huge database, I clicked by right clicking on each item in the "install" tab, though I would imagine either route works.
Then you can re-install, but the key seems to be to close down Daz Studio, then re-open Daz studio. For what ever reason (which can be explained by someone smarter than me) you can't process the metadata then immediately re-install.
I had about 2500 items to do so it was tedious, but fingers crossed it seems to have solved the problem. I'm about to boot Daz Studio back up today so we'll see.
Hope it works for you.
Thank you, it worked
I didn't have so many to do. Only the new purchased products.
Hmm. Check something if you don't mind, as I now have other errors. I try to load content into a scene and it says file can't be found even though I can navigate to the file location and see the file there. Again, not all files, just some.
If you remember one of your products that wasn't working, try to load it and see if you get an error.
Might be unrelated, but I'm curious if these problems are related.
In case someone else runs into this problem, the final solution after the above steps was to (Also confirm your paths are correct which mine were):
Resetting your database.
To reset the Database:
Right-click on the Smart Content pane > choose Content DB Maintenance > tick Export User Data and Reset Database > click Accept.
To re-import Metadata:
Right-click on the Smart Content pane > choose Content DB Maintenance > tick Re-Import Metadata > click Accept > make sure that User Data and User Data Overrides Product Data are checked and click Accept.
That highlighted part was the key I was missing. That just seems counterintuitive to me to choose to overwrite with user data the Product data (I assumed if anything was corrupt, it would be user data and product data would be "clean").
Thank you very much Daz Support. Would of been a faster fix if we were in the same time zone and i didn't have to do silly things like work while you waited for me to reply.
