Created a new material zone using the Geometry Editor but can't save the skin

Lately I've been using the Geometry Editor to eliminate poke-through on a couple of problem (i.e. big-breasted) characters, creating a new material zone from the selected polygons so I can turn the opacity down to zero.
This works fine, but I have to create two versions of each character, one with and one without the extra material zone. It would be much more convenient to have a saved no-poke-through skin to apply to the character as and when needed, but when I save the edited skin as a materals preset and load it on a character, the new zone doesn't exist. Is there no way to save an edited skin as a materals preset?

No, only scenes and prsets that load a new model (e.g. a Character preset if it loads a new figure rather than modifying the selected figure) can give modified geometry.
Oh, well. It would have been nice, but loading different versions is still easier than photoshopping textures and/or renders.
Thanks, Richard.
