But not all clothing morphs for the heavy weights quite as nicely as might be desired so I've started a little project to make some clothing that will.

I'm not that good at making all forms of clothing and was really hoping to just morph some $pants however Hexagon had other ideas so ... for all the time it would take and the fact it would turn into a no-share remake, figured forget it ... I'll make my own. ha!

Okay ... atm [and possibly to remain so] there is 'stretch' on the heavy shorts which is going to show if one uses a poor choice for textures on a heavy weight model.

So far there are 2 pieces of clothing made ... what we used to call a "muscle shirt" and a pair of shorts. G2F. Target morph = "heavy"
Planning to make a few more morphs and work up some better texture sets for it however thought I'd drop a few pics in here and ask if there was any interest in this for a release ... input, feedback ...???

    Looks very useful to me.

I would be interested to see what you can do with the textures.

Did a little "reverse engineering" and remade the shorts ... textures look much better now.

As many know, i use Hexagon, l like Hexagon but do get concerned if/when people figure it can be used as the main modeler to make money with ... not likely. Too goofy.
Discovered a little trick to help keep it going some.
When using the uv brushes [used for morphing and gentle vertex rearranging] and the error messages commence; switching over to simple pushing/pulling of dots and lines ... plus any or all of the usual tricks we try with Hexie [validate; switching from faces to solid to lines to .... ] can eventually get the uv brushes to co-operate again.
One can make the one sweeping action as long as one doesn't stop it WHILE the error popup is there. Popup must be closed, then action can be validated or aborted. Oh such fun [jk].

    Progress! :-)

Have discovered how to add some uv choices to the menu and wow! Discovered how to get a much better texture uvmap for the larger figure too. Have made morphs for the top ... and hopefully later on this week it'll be released. Working on some textures for the new uvmap.

I use Hexagon as my only modeling program currently, and this is my main form of income.

...y'all must have a lot more patience (apologies) than I have with it. I find myself "back-pedaling" too much because of the crashes and freeze ups and usually give up out of frustration with the instabilities.

The trick is knowing what makes it hang or crash and not doing that, or saving before you do if you have no choice. Then again, I save about every 10 minutes just out of habit. It was being nice today, it only crashed once and it was right at the beginning of my project.

"and not doing that" ... yeeeeaaahhhh ... aarrgghhh ... uvmap glitch ... one more time ... you know ... IF this ever gets released I hope people appreciate how much silly work goes into these things.

Has anybody else noticed that in a bridge over to Hexagon, on the uvmap .... if one uses the smooth tool just over the uvmap ... ALL the little dots become unwelded. Wasn't that nice of somebody to think we'd want that to happen. [do I laugh or cry]

Okay ... somewhere over the top is a tool button to weld the uvmap back together ... and then 'poof' ALL the little dots are once again welded back together. [which is very good news for whoever thought we'd like them to be all unwelded in the first place]

I did manage to get one striped mat made, not necessarily to be used as is because, as somebody puts it, if for professional use, needs a bit of touch-up, but more so as a possible guide for matching seams. [although I'd recommend a solid coloured base and keeping the decorations centered].
Mind-you I just spent the better part of a rather frustrating day trying to get a paint program to put pokey dots all over it.

At any rate, the concept was/is to have the breast area's face normals uvmapped to have more space allotted to them than those of the rest of the top. This is to provide the necessary space to have things like dots that look like dots instead of lines.

It has occurred to me that there are others with better programs for doing all this ... I do have 3D Coat which does nice uvmaps but I can't give rights I don't have to the products then. So staying with Hexagon so people can use it for commercial renders ...

Thinking about [but no promises here] putting together a tut for how to make a new uvmap for clothing so that people could make better uvmaps and use them. [and maybe email me one too lol ...] It's actually not all that difficult ... says she who did about 5 of 'em so far ... using D/S and Hexagon AND a whole of patience to figure out a few work-a-rounds but I did and okay! Yes, one can make clothing using the Bridge ... however using the Bridge to D/S creates an unwanted def mat. Funsville. I DID find a way to get rid of the unwanted mat. Just what we all wanted, "another work around" ... but thankfully it's only a couple of steps.

No pics yet but what the hay! Remade it one more time and it was worth the trip ;-)
Also got the right tool working in the paint program and wow! Much better results. So have several textures in the works for the top.

... got stripes and dots and patterns ... guides ... and if all goes well, one tut.
