Does Daz Studio only use CPU to render?

100% of Iray render is going to the CPU. Is this normal? Anyone know if can I use my NVIDIA 1060 GPU to help rendering?

yes CPU and GPU advanced render tab was checked.

yes GPU updated drivers was checked.

Thanks for help!

Yes, the 1060 works. If its a 3Gb version your scene might not fit, even the 6Gb version might be small for some scenes. Try rendering a single primitive with a shader or texture applied and if that renders on GPU then you know it was a VRAM issue. You can also check the Nvidia control panel to make sure Daz is set to use your graphics card and not the integrated graphics or something.

Turn off the CPU option. If you don't enough enough Vram, Iray will fall back to the CPU regardless. If you can render with the GPU, the CPU will not be much help.

I already did it... the render finishes at a sec and anything happens!!! Nothing appears!

I've done that, all the render goes to CPU again.

"the Nvidia control panel to make sure Daz is set "

The Nvidia panels has nothing releated to Daz Studio. Unless you talking about G-Force Experience, but I'm not sure there is something to search for there.

  • SOLVED.

I've change the Nvidia Options and I disable the CPU render on Daz Studio. Now I can listen the fans of my graphic card working on Iray mode. I also noticed that the render time was improved at least twice better.

Thanks guys, I hope this post can help others users.

Can you tell me Where I can find this option?
