Help with Lolo Hai character from Ghastly

kwanniekwannie Posts: 869

I just downloaded the LoLo Hai character and installed all of the included folders in "MY Library" . I assume the included OBJ file included needs to go in the geometries directory but I am not sure where to place it correctly. When I click on LoLo Hai in DS I just get a grey blocky representation of the figure, and a message tha " data/ghastly/lolo hai.dsf" could not be found. The advice given when a simular question was posed was to merge the libraries, however no further explanation was given about where to place the OBJ file.  Anybody know how to properly install Lolo Hai?

My guess is that your extraction did not work or did not complete. All you need are the files under the My Library directory in the zip. So for me I have a directory called OtherCharacters. I selected the folders under My Library in the zip file and copied them to OtherCharacters. She loaded just fine. If DAZ is giving you the can't find the dsf it means that the data folder in the zip did not copy correctly to your folder of choice. You do not need the obj file to have the character work in DAZ Studio. Ghastly made that availble so others could use it in modeling software that can't use the duf and dsf files. Also the stocking materials file will load Hai's mat files. There is no material file for just loading her default texture.

    Thanks Dolly,

I found what I did wrong and you were right, I doubled the number of folders somehow when I was installing. I never get how the files shoud be placed in DAZ lol.

Moved to Technical Help as it's a question about, not an off of, a freebie.
