GIS Biosuit needs V4 UV set for G2F

The GIS Biosuit doesn't line up correctly on my Genesis 2 Female when I load the Genesis 2 Female materials (or the Genesis or V4 materials for that matter). I get a warning that the following file could not be found /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/UV Sets/DAZ 3D/Victoria 4/Victoria 4.dsf
Is this file available for download somewhere?
The GIS Biosuit product description says it works with G2F, but it doesn't for me. The legs, armpits, and wrists don't align properly and there are spots that are not covered.
I can get GIS Biosuit to line up properly on Genesis and on V4, because they both have the V4 UV sets.

You need the G2F version of the V4 Clone. That is required to get the item to work. it is found here...

Thanks for the info, and taking the time to reply.
I don't want to spend $15 to get a $2 product to work, however. I think I will just use GIS Biosuit with Genesis characters. The product description is misleading in that it says it will work with G2F, yet it didn't mention this $15 product was required.
I'm not following. It read's this..
The 3D GIS Biosuit is a second skin texture created for Victoria 4, Genesis, and Genesis 2 Female(s) Victoria 6 and Victoria 4
It clearly says for Genesis 2 Female(s) Victoria 6 and Victoria 4 which means you NEED the G2F V6 or V4 to use it.
Yes, it doesn't make much sense to me either.
GIS Biosuit says: Compatible 3D Figures: Genesis, Genesis 2 Female, Victoria 4
The product has materials for each of these three figures, but the G2F materials don't line up correctly. The V4 and Genesis materials line up correctly when using the V4 UV maps, which I can do without buying another product.
I have V6 and G2F, I also have V5 and V4, but the product doesn't work with G2F or V6 (I tried both figures with all of my available UV maps, which doesn't include V4 UV, on G2F and V6). The GIS Biosuit G2F/V6 materials apparently also uses V4 UV maps, which the default V6 and G2F don't come with, without buying the product you suggested, which would allow any V4 texture to work with G2F.
It is a super product, and the price is right, it just doesn't work on G2F or V6 as advertized.
Well the way I read it does not SAY G2F but does say V6. I will point that out to the people that can have at least the proper info posted. It should work on V6 as it reads now. It Should read needs Genesis2 V4 to work on G2F figures.
Thank you for pointing out it does not load to the V6 uv as is implied.
I agree with the OP. Nowhere in the product description does it state that there is another product required.
Here is the complete description:
"The 3D GIS Biosuit is a second skin texture created for Victoria 4, Genesis, and Genesis 2 Female(s) Victoria 6 and Victoria 4. This set comes with a helmet and harness rig props to add to the 3D sci-fi look. Included are six coordinated colors for the suit and props featuring glowing lines for the ultimate sci-fi look".
The comma after each figure product would indicate that the GIS Biosuit is able to be used on all the figures listed. Not to sound argumentative but where does it "clearly say" the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female is a requirement?
I have been purchasing products from DAZ for many years. I always read the product description very carefully to verify product compatibility. It is also my opinion that the product description is missleading. I did purchase the product thinking it was compatible with all figures listed. Not a big deal at $1.99. Had the price been more I would have requested a refund.
This has been reported. Expect the File info to be updated as soon as possible if not done already.
So does this now work with the old V4 please ?
You may get an answer through by putting in a help ticket if you don't get a response here.
The product is a texture set based on V4 UV mapping. It is applied directly to the figure and uses specular, ambient, bump, and displacement maps to give the appearance of clothing, it is not a suit worn by the figure. It will work on any figure that has a good V4 UV mapping option. Personal note, it looks best if you have a morph like V4's Spandex morph for the breasts for any female figures you use it on.
Thank you very much :)
There is a split in the suit (inside the legs) but it's not an awkward shape and the sleeves are a little short. I changed the diffuse color to match the main suit color (orange in this case) and it looks pretty good in low light, it looks somewhat intentional.
most people would not notice.
careful posing will help.
the only suit that glows is the blue lighted suit. the other suits down have the lines glowing. help!
Hi acking79,
Could you post a low-light render of two figures in the same scene— one with the blue and the other with a non-glowing color? This will help to start the diagnosis.
You have posted in both the Carrara and DA Studio forums - which application(s) are you using? It is better to use only one thread, then people don't duplicate efforts that have been made in the other thread.
