How to Save Characters with all hair, clothing, etc - for a project

I am planning to create a render series that uses the same set of characters in each render.

How do I save these characters with all the resources intact - ie. hair, clothes makeup accessories etc. so I do not have to dig through all of these items and "rebuild" the look for each render?

Second - is there a way to assign several such characters in some sort of group so they are easy to find... I assume it involves creating a category in the CMS data base for the content library, but how?

This is my first attempt at this sort of render series, so I apologize if these are really basic procedures most people know... but I am clueless

Thanks for your time.  /LB

Go to "File" - "Save As" - "Scene Subset". From the popup screen that follows this selection you can slect the items you wan tto save. Then on each following image you ca nslect the scene subset and "merge into scene"

If for your second question, you are referring to the characters saved as subsets, you can put them all in one folder in your library, no need to use the CMS.

If you are talking about grouping assets so they are easier to find, then, yes, what you propose, creating a custom category in the database, is the way I would go.

Thanks for the help and confirming a working method I had in mind.  Good to know I do not have to use CMS unless it becomes critical for my work ... though creating a folder sounds simple enough and should meet my needs for now.

    Thanks again
