Daz assets to Poser 11 for animations

Hi,

I posted this on the Rendo forums but no replies yet so i thought i would post it on here too.

I've been trying for a while to get Daz figures into Blender using the built in Daz exporter and also the Diffeomorphic plugin. But i cant quite get the skins to look the same way they do in Daz.

So i was thinking about getting Poser 11 but i was wondering how well Daz models transfer into it. Do the materials/shaders require a lot of tweaking in Poser to get it to look the same way it does in Daz? Like once i render a poster or anim in Poser will the model's skin/surface look the same as a render made with Daz? getting the exact surface appearance of a product that i see in a Daz render is more important to me than whether Blender or Poser have superior or efficient renderers or that they can make the model look more "realistic" or whatever.

And also, how are the animations in Poser 11? i'm assuming a lot better than an animation done in Daz? no weird feet movements or anything like that? its purpose is to make animations and posters without needing any bandaids to make it function properly (ie feet pinning).

-thanks

I beleive there is a script over at rendo for getting
Genesis 3/8 into poser by Willdial there is an ongoing thread over there you could read about the process
I doubt it supports Daz IRay shaders though.

I imagine you have never animated characters in Poser or Daz studio.

As a professional Animator, the primary reason I Dumped poser was the Abysmal animation tools and when the sitting Product manager, at that time,(Nerd), publicly Stated ,in these forums, that the state of the Character animation tools in poser 11: "Makes me sad" .

No one can seriously claim that they have been effectively "updated" since... Poser 7?.. added the largely useless "animation layers".

Audio based Lipsinc options??..."Talk designer", only useful by default with Smith micro figures that I (and many others ) never used.

Human IK solver??.. Still broken beyond the point of being useful, as it was in Posers-4,5,6,7,8,9,10.

Spline Graph Editor ??..unchanged from poser 4 technology.

Dope sheet (animation pallet)??..unchanged from poser 4 technology.

Hair dynamics..??unchanged from poser 5 technology

Cloth Dynamics..??unchanged from poser 5 technology

Daz studio is getting new IK/feet pinning by the summers end according to a Daz Employee
    ( DAZ_Steve)

The Money you will spend "upgrading" to poser11 could be used to buy the $20 USD graphMate Addon for Daz studio

It is an order of magnitude superior to the Poser animation graph editor
Daz studio also has new/Better Dynamic hair than posers  IMHO
and of course Dforce clothing for cloth animation.

Also there is the nonlinear Motion clip/aniblok system in Daz studo-AniMate 2

Poser has no such options for  motion clip based animations.
