Saving as pose preset without character's place
I am working on an animation where several characters would be performing the same moves. I am planning to animate one character then apply the animation to the rest. But the applied animations takes all the characters to the spot of the original one. I would want an animation to take place with each one of the characters remaining in their spots. While I can fix that with keymate, that is still time-consuming, considering that I need to re-apply animations more than once and combine movements, and with many characters in the scene, you can imagine how much work would that be. I wonder if there is a way to do that. Another odd issue I faced was the character's shrinking in size once an animation is applied. While I know how to reset the scale slider for each character individually, I cannot for the life of me figure out why does that happen.
Thanks in advance!

In the options dialogue deselect the figure node and the hip (or at least its translations) when saving.
If you've been careful to do your position of the figures via the figure node and the movement in the animation via the hip node then you can just exclude the figure node (or vice versa). That's the "best practice" - hip for movement within the pose (keeping feet on floor, offsets for multi-figure poses), figure for placement in the scene.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip. Will try tonight.
