Was/is there shaders to add gray to hair textures? (iray?)

I am looking for shaders that add gray hair to hair props.  I am playing with the Wise Wizard character but I want to use other hair than what it came with.  He has white eyebrows but I need his hair to be white.

Or I could probably use the new dynamic hair that DS 4.11 has but still need that gray hair texture.  I just realized that most old men do not have a big head of hair, right?  I assume that DForce Dynamic hair is not free or available to the public?  What is the new hair system called?  I forgot.  Also does it need a skull cap?  if so does G8M have a free skull cap?

you can desaturate or greyscale a copy of the texture map in an image editor

You're referring to Strand-Based Hair, and that does have a native option for adding grey to hair....but only for 3Delight.

OOT's Hair Shaders at the other place are my go to for all my hairs. Look for OOT Iray Hair and the XPansion. Mine has 4-5 nice greys that you can use on almost any hair.
