dForce: When I simulate, every dForce item in the scene resets. How do I just do one item?

For example, dForce Bang Bob hair comes with two parts, the main hair and an add on that drapes over it.  It's my understanding that this is meant to be done in two steps, simulating the main hair first, then draping the addon over it.

Another example would be simulating a piece of clothing, then simulating the hair that drapes over it.

is there a way to simulate a single item in my scene, instead of everything?

    Yes, there is:

turn off display - visible in simulation for the item you want to simulate later (or just hide it)

After simulating the first item turn on general - simulation - freeze simulation for that item

unhide the next item or turn on visible in simulation and run the simulation for it.

Thanks for the tip!  Er, sorry...I'm not seeing the 'visible in simulation' and 'general - simulation - freeze simulation' commands

    Where can I find those?

These are on the Parameters tab, with the object selected. In the left column, find General->Simulation to locate the Freeze Simulation option on the right, and Visible in Simulation is found under Display->Simulation.

Thanks L'Adair, I would never have found those!
