Textures - make up

Hi All

I have the Jolina model and added make-up from another model but as one can see the textures are slightly out. What is the best / easiest way to align the two? Specifically the make up rather than the rest of teh bodies skin texture.

Unless the makeup is LIE (layered image editor) based, the “makeup” is actually an entire face texture that has makeup on it. Thus, if you want the makeup from a particular model, you should probably use the whole texture set.

You could try opening the base and make-up maps for the character you are getting the make-up from in an image editor, add them to a new image as separate layers, and set the blend mode to Difference (which should be black where there is no make-up and grey where there is). Add a levels or the like adjustment layer and make the grey areas as near white as you can, leaving the black black. Save the result as a make-up mask image. In DS instead of applying the make-up preset go into the Surfaces pane and, if this is using the Iray Uber Base shader, load the mask as Diffuse Overlay Strength and load the make-up texture as the diffuse Overlay colour.

Then find a different LIE makeup.
