How do I get a v4 skin texture to g2f after I have made g2f V4 UF and without making a material preset before that does not work 100% correctly anyway..
really DAZ, it is a shit philosophy to create new stuff without giving customers the quick and easy chance to use their old resources. namely perfect not semi-accurately.

If you have a V4 compatible UV for G2F, either hand-cranked or from the product from the store you can do the copy either manually (I wrote a small available at ShareCG or deviantART
G2F is compatible with Genesis V5 skins and all clothing and hairstyles via autofit. With the addition of V4 for Genesis 2 you can easily use older V4 textures on the new girl either by using the converter or by first applying the skin to Genesis classic and saving it as a material preset. Then apply that newly created preset to Genesis 2. You can also assign metadata to the preset so you can more easily find it in Smart Content, if that interests you (there's a tutorial link in my sig).
To illustrate, here's Genesis 2 wearing V4 clothes using V4 Dublin skin by Danae. For comparison's sake I've also used the V4 morph here as well.
and here is what I mean with Texture Error Thigh/Hip region after running all your converter stuff.
and that is why I have asked for natasha elite skin texture directly for g2f. second thing. why all these characters for this new generation look so totally unreal until rendered? the older textures look normal during creating a scene these new textures look unreal that disturbs.

does not work correctly the converter
all that converter stuff does not work correctly on the thigh/hip/glute region
I am so angry I can`t tell. DAZ you really make me thinking about working with poser and not with DS. Maybe Pose is better.
What I want is, that I can use my reworked natasha elite skin for v4.2 on g2f and that perfectly and not with some errors no matter how big or small they are. GET IT DONE DAZ, get it DONE, one spend much money here at the store and get not what worthes the money so it seems.
You cant realistically expect something that was made for an entirely different mesh to be 100% perfect on a mesh it wasnt designed for.
You do see how unreasonable that sounds don't you?
RESUME:
If you choose DS 4 and up because of some nice features like the linear pointlight and the new polygon editor and some other stuff but you still want to use your old characters than:
1. if you still want to work with V4.2 you can only use one character if you save it in s scene. If you create a new character with new character morphs via injection and save this also as a scene your first character will loose morphs.
2. if you decide because of point 1 to change from v4.2 to genesis or genesis 2 female and you want to use your old character and you uses gen X for genesis or doing character work for G2F new you only can do this if you be satisfied with a not perfect texture. (also after using all tools available at the store). Or maybe you get deep into texturing G2F via other software.
so DAZ I guess you have some work to do.
So than DS should use the old mesh. That`s it.
That all would be no problem if DAZ get fixed the problem with different character use for v4.2. But this seems to be also an unsolvable problem for DAZ.
Or they do what I asked for: Natasha Elite Skin for G2F but this they don`t want to do because you have the skin texture converter (with not perfect results). Hahahahaha LoooooooooooooL Hihihihihihi. stupid customer

If you need textures 100% perfect, then use the mesh they were designed for.
If you want to reuse old textures on a new mesh..then expect some minor faults.
I think the fact that you can use the textures at all is a brilliant piece of design on daz's part.
There are not many companies out there who would do that for their customers.

read the post above. I can just use one single V4.2 character if I save it in a scene (.duf) If I will do a new scene with a new character via morph injection and save this scene the character in my old scene loose its deltas and morphs.
So I have asked for natasha elite skin for Gf2. The answer was: You have the skin texture converter.
That is a bad joke.
ALL I WANT IS THE NATASHA ELITE SKIN TEXTURE FOR GENESIS 2 FEMALE NOT MORE because I have spend much time for creating tattoos and tan lines and I may be able to use them (copy/paste) on probably new natasha elite skin for G2F via a graphic programm. and also my charactershape work only with this skin texture. Have tried it with other skin textures and than the character looks bad.
If you give the V4's unique names you shouldn't have any problems using multiples in the same scene, at least I never have.
it is a kown problem to daz and I am not the only user having this problem
this is the result:
in DS3.1.xx I had not this problem, this is since DS4 and up
And now, because I have tried what you have said my character Dixie is dead and I can begin from zero to create it new. Shit DS4.6. Even new injection of morphs++ and so does not work, worked before in ds4.5 but obviously not in DS4.6. Dead.
not the same scene,
different characters in different scene do not work. Only one character will work, if you load another scene with another character you get problems.
known issue to DAZ
If you go out of your way to find problems with a mesh, you're bound to stumble upon some. Most of the issues you're reporting seem very minor though, and shouldn't affect its use in the the majority of render work.
I would not work with G2F in Poser but with V4.2, thing is that DS4 and up has problems with CR2s if you have poser figures or also simple v4.2 and different characters in different scenes, it is an issue of the .duf format. And your characters (figures) can loose deltas. and it is a bit work to get your figure back to normal.
I do not like Genesis and Genesis 2 Female but DAZ has done a lot users like me using cr2 figure have problems with this new DS4 and up versions. What works in DS3 and up without problems do not work in DS4 and up. That is what I am angry about.
Is the folder you have V4 installed to listed in DS4 as a Poser-format content folder, and is it the ONLY content folder with V4 installed to it?
no I have a second (for another product that needs v4 installed in the same folder) but that does not matter because before I had this product v4 was installed only in one folder and the problem was the same. Has nothing to do with that. It has somethng to do with the organization of the .duf files and the assets and how this works. The content I use is the same as in DS3 and in DS3 I never had such problem but in DS3 the file format and organization was different.
And here is an explaination someone gives me, and that sound very plausible:
Sounds like the morph channels from the different V4 CR2’s are getting in each others way, in DS4 all Poser figures are converted to mimic how Genesis works, so when you save it, all of the morphs are saved out as morph assets into that figures “Morphs” folder in the “data/auto_adapted” folder, so while Genesis only has one set of morphs in it’s “Morphs” folder, a Poser figure can have two sets, one for all of the empty channels and the other for all of the full channel, and it sounds like DS is trying to load both sets.
Except that the errors you are getting refer to the delta files in the runtime not data. This suggests that you either do have more than one install of V4 and her morphs or you do not have their location properly defined in DS's Content Directory Manager.
