I need input/comments on RTX 2070 performance with IRAY

Sup guys,
long story short, I'm assembling a new workstation for rendering and gaming. Problem is, I'm on a budget (well who isn't hehe), so my GPU options are also kinda narrow. GTX series are not an option, since in my home country their prices tend to be somewhat irrational/abhorrent (a GTX 1080ti pulled out from a bitcoin mining station costs ~1.5x as NEW rtx 2070). RTX 2080 and 2080ti are way over my budget considering other parts I have to buy.
So question is - is RTX 2070 (to be accurate - the Asus STRIX 3-fan overclocked model) a viable option for small scenes in Iray? I usually render 1-2 figures with not so big scene (2-3 walls and some small props).
Does anyone have an RTX 2070 and could share render times, for let's say 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 images?
Are there any problems with RTX and daz, are there painlessly working drivers?
How's the support for RTX itself, does DAZ use the accelerated raytracing?
Anyways, here is the full setup i plan to buy:
MOBO: Asus - Prime X470-Pro ATX AM4 Motherboard
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU COOLER: Noctua - NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler
RAM: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory or a Kingston Hyper-something with lower mhz rate, but CL13
GPU: Asus - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB STRIX GAMING OC Video Card
POWER: Cooler Master - MWE Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
And some Tower with 4 fans maybye.
Does this make sense given the fact i want do do both 3DL and Iray, and also play some games?
Thanks for help.

I bought an RTX 2070 to add to my system a couple of months ago. I do larger scenes than you discuss and they fit on it just fine. You should not, ever, pay for the factory overclocked versions of GPU's unless you really really really care about getting 5 to 10 more fps in a game that already hits 150 or the like. If the game struggles to reach 60 then a factory OC might get you 2 more. Simply not worth it. P{lus the cards draw more power and therefore die faster than non overclocked cards.
Hey, thanks for replying. The reason why I'm interested in the asus card is because of the 3-fan system. I often read the cheap PALIT cards that had some overheating problems due to faulty fan design. Would you recommend any particular rtx 2070 model for around 500-550$?
I bought the Gigabyte Windforce card, which is also a 3 fan card but there is nothing fundamentally wrong with 2 fan cards.

Ok, I guess you just have to buy something and see what happens. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on this endless sea of GPU vendors. Funny thing about the Gigabyte card because most reviews I read were negative due to some kind of design fault (read comments on amazon and other shops - "card stopped working after 2 weeks" etc). On the other hand, people say the same about Palit, EVGA, MSI and a dozen of other vendors. Is there any kind of safe bet here? For how long are you using the Gigabyte card?
I've had it for 4 months without a problem. Most reviews get posted by unhappy people and Amazon is famous for allowing reviews from non buyers. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI and Zotac have all been very good IME.
