Does 3D Delight stand alone now render non-DAZ default lights? The last time I used it, none of the Uber Lights, etc. would work.

I saw no problems in my tests, and I did use uber lights.
How about Inane Glory's Photo Studio Lights?
I misspoke when I said the Uber lights, my experience was actually with IG lights(http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/248551/). I just assumed that RIB ignored other non-default lights as well.
Also, how is this product different than the batch I currently use? There aren't a whole bunch of details in the product description and I already have a batch file I drop into the export directory...
renderdl -progress *.rib
I don't know for sure about Inane Glory's Lights, I didn't test those. The script doesn't make the 3Delight Stand Alone work any different then it does now... This script does a lot of the repetitive work for you, so you are free to do other things.
This script will let you create a list of .duf scenes and run thru them within DAZ Studio (You have the option to use the DS render or Render to RIB for output).
You select your options, and press Render... What the script will do is set the options, then load the first .duf scene file and render... Then get the next .duf scene file in the list and render, and then the next .duf scene file .......... etc. You do not need to hang around the computer while this is being done. If you selected RIB Render, then it also creates a Windows .bat file for you to start the 3Delight Stand Alone renders. (Again, you start the .bat file and are free to do something else while it runs)
Okay, thanks for the info.
I just swore off RIB exports when I discovered that some lights and textures do not behave the same in 3D Delight stand alone as they do in DS.
This script also does Batch Rendering in DAZ Studio, so all is not lost :)

So there is no use of the stand alone then? How configurable is it and how does it work? (Without giving away any technical aspects of it, of course.)
The product description doesn't give a whole lot of detail on the mechanics of it, which has made it a hard sell for me.

Thanks for that. One last question and then I will be satisfied....
Dreamlight's LDP also uses a sort of batch format to render a single scene. Is there any possible way to incorporate these two items together? I.e. render a couple of LDP scenes in a batch?
I wish I could answer that question. I don't have Dreamlight's LDP, so I don't know how it works. If you need to run Dreamlights plugin or script to make it work, then I would have to say no.
I didn't think it work to be honest.
LDP uses a script tied to a .duf asset (I believe) which renders about a dozen frames with varying light styles. Once the render is done, you manually take those frames into Photoshop (or GIMP). Then there are separate Photoshop actions that merge and modify the individual images.
From there you can adjust the lighting through the layer effects. etc.
Now if there was away that your batch invoked the LDP Render function, I could see it working. But then its a nested script and I doubt that DS likes that.
The free version of 3D Delight you could get to do batch renders was a very old version of 3D Delight compared to the version that came with DAZ Studio until a few months ago. I tried it and I had problems with UberArea lights not working very well in it.
A few months ago (beginning of October?) 3Delight released a new version for the free license that may even be newer than the version that comes with DAZ Studio. I downloaded and tested it and it seemed to work fine now with UberArea lights.
I have not tested it with Inane Glory’s Photo Studio Lights, the Advanced Ambient light or the Advanced Spot light.
The problem I found with using render to RIB was that DAZ creates all kinds of temporary data in your temporary folder and by default it deletes all this data when you exit DAZ Studio. To do batch rendering I had to set up a temporary folder for each batch render and stop DAZ Studio from deleting that data.
Dose this script automate any of that?
I'm not sure about the nested scripts... I'm pretty sure it can, as I do sometimes call other scripts from a running script.
But like I said I don't own Dreamlight's LDP, and that would be a bit much to try to incorporate it into this script... Being.... if I could and did... What about all the other 'plugins/scripts' that are out there? Would I need to purchase each one and then incorporate them into the batch file? (If I do one, I'll need to do the others) ... The cost of this script would have to start getting to high for the average user to be willing to purchase it.

Yes, it is all automated by the script. You select were you want the files to go. (I created a folder in my 'Artwork Folder' that I called RIBRender) When DAZ creates the files for RIB it creates a sub folder named nameofyourdufscene_collected and puts all the files needed in that folder. The script also then creates a windows .bat file where you have selected to create it. This .bat file does a lot of housework along with kicking of renderdl. One of things that the .bat file does is to rename the nameofyourdufscene_collected to nameofyourdufscene_rib. I found that if I tried to rerun the Render to RIB it didn't overwrite the current files... So this is my 'workaround' ;)

Didn't honestly expect you to do that. Was just wondering if it was possible for the end user to some how call the function instead of invoking the default render function.
