Import morphs to an existing figure/animation

swoobyswooby Posts: 9

I have a "basic animation" scene 1 with a basic figure (Michael 8).

In another scene 2, I've manipulated another Michael 8 figure (morphs/manipulations: other head- and bodysize etc.)

How can I "import" (if this is the correct term?) this manipulated Michael 8 figure from scene 2 (or only the morphs) to my existing "basic animation" scene 1? It should be quite simple i guess, but I have no idea where to search or what to look for...

If you are using stock morphs and proprties you could just save a Shaping preset (moprhs, not scaling) or a Properties preset (can include both shaping and transforms, such as scale, but make sure you use the options dialogue to exclude most of the posing proprties or it will overwrite your pose in the first scene).

You could also save the "basic animation" from scene 1 into a Pose preset that can include animation of all keyframes on the timeline Play Range. Then apply the Pose preset on timeline frame 0 in scene 2.

I would also go to frame 0 if you apply the Shaping preset in scene 2. To make shure the character shape is not changing during animation select the figure and use Memorize>Memorize Figure Shape on frame 0 followed by Clear Animation>Clear Figure Shape from the Parameters pane Option Menu somwhere in the top corner of the pane. You can also use Clear Animation>Clear Figure Pose if you don't have memorized any custom pose before the figure will "zero" to default base figure pose same as Zero>Zero Figure Pose that applies only to the current timeline frame.

[Edit]: Here I have a screenshot of the menu and my custom shortcuts that makes working with keyframes and animation alot easier for me.

Did you mean something like this?

I found its easier to do this type scene in short cut scenes rather than all in one shot in a single running scene ,    I made this animation using a genesis8 male  by edart. and a rawarts genesis 1 werewolf , the scene were blended in a film editor to make it appear like one single transformation. that was the easiest way for me anyway
