SamSil is gone from the store?

I was looking at some hairs that I thought were done by Samsil but they are showing only daz original tag and I don't see Samsil in the store anymore, has  that PA moved elsewhere?

    Their Renderosity store is still in place, so there's that. And, if I'm not mistaken, I thought all their products here were DOs. Daz may be eliminating the vendor name from DOs.

    They could have decided to release only at rendo from now on and gave up the Daz store.  Plenty of DAZO's have vendor names on them.

    Thanks for the update on Samsils store, I don't really shop much at rendo but I may have to start browsing there a bit more as it seems more and more vendors that I like  are selling over there and not so much here.

    He hasn't released anything at Rendo for just about a year, I think.

    All of his stuff here used to have both DazO and his name on it, but now it's just DazO.

    With nothing new at Rendo for a while and his name coming off products here, maybe he's exiting the 3D design field completely.

    They have eliminated the vendor name from the store and all the DO's but (at present at least) you can type "Samsil" in the search box at the top of a store page and they show up there.

    When you do that search, the Goddess Braids comes up, and that is New.

    I bought some of his early packs for G2 and G3 from rendo when they were on a bargain basement discount. When he started releasing things here, I scooped them up.  I have 14 of his hairs now.

    I noticed rendo still has him as an 'exclusive vendor' on his deets page. How does that work if he sells here too? I thought vendors had to be exclusive here and nowhere else? Since his products here are DO now, does give him license to also sell at rendo? Don't know how any of that works.

    HIm leaving the arena would be very disappointing.

    Omg I really hope this is just a mistake! I love their work and I was going to recommend them in a tutorial. I’m always using their hair.

    we need more PA’s like Samsil who actually care about creating assets for Afro hair :(

When he shifted to selling at Daz, he stopped selling anything at all at Renderosity. Either he or Rendo just didn't do the cleanup on his page to remove the exclusive vendor thing.

    Vendor products have to be exclusive here, but vendors themselves don't. There are several vendors here who also have active Rendo stores -- Godin, Vyktohria, Jessaii formerly Silver, ironman13 when they were active, Pretty3D, etc.

    I don't shop much at Rendo, mostly here, but now that some of my favorite artists are selling there only I will definitely be heading there more often.  I do wonder if the artist are returning there to sell because there seems to be alot more support for the older figures right back to V4 still, whereas here it seems the older generations are more quickly forgotten in lieu of the newer shinier latest figures. Is that a possiblity in the store shift?

    Well, it appears he still has Daz Original stuff coming out, although it doesn't have his name on it. The S. de Sweat Packs are definitely his work. (Kind of surprised those didn't get a name change; S de B is part of his actual name.)

    Also has a recent hair at Rendo, as well.

    ikr? If Samsil ever did exit the 3D Realm, it’d be a huge loss in that department: most natural hairs done by most PAs, while well meaning, come off as what a white person thinks natural hair is like in terms of locs, braids, plaits, etc. (Though the same could be said for most African-inspired/based items, but that’s a different kettle of fish) Samsil brings an authenticity that has yet to be matched.

    Not to mention the clothes they’ve made, too. Those fill a sorely needing to be filled niche, imho

    Just noticed Samsil's stuff is no longer on Rendo either as of now. What a shame. I wish they'd return soon as it's sooooo hard to find authentic looking hair for African and African American ladies (and guys) for Daz anywhere else. If anyone sees any or if Samsil returns PLEASE notify us!!!!!

    SamSil's store might be closed, but there are many products that were bought out by DAZ, pretty much everything that was released here.
