Hello,

is it possible to apply more geoshells on one figure?

When I apply one it is fine but when apply second the first one usually dissapear (no texture).

For example when I apply tattoo shell it's fine but when I add wet skin shell tattoo dissapear.

Thanks

They need to be offset from each other ever so slightly

In render or just in preview? I think I've occasionally had multiple shells applied to items.

    It's in render.

You mean mesh offset? I'll try to play with it little bit.

If you're not familiar with it, LIE(layered image editor) might be a better solution for the tattoo application than trying to layer geoshells.

As you've found out sometimes multiple geoshell layers can produce some strange effects.

Select the Geoshell, then open parameters (windows > tab > parameters) and check General > Mesh Offset. This is the value that you need to change (add value to move it away from the body, reduce the value to move it closer to the body).

That sounds as if you are in the Surfaces pane, the offest for the shape is a property in the Parameters pane.

fenix - richard .. thanks to both of you!

  • That didn't work for me at all, at least not in the viewport. But, in the parameters tab, with the shell selected in the scene tab, there's a 'shell' parameter, in there there are on/off buttons and I was able to turn off the new shell in the area that it was messing up the original shell. I wish I could figure out the other method though. The original shell has two shells, effect layer and color layer, so maybe its because there's two already?!
