can i export Wire Bounding Boxes as actual geometry?

to my understanding, those wire bounding boxes are meant to represent the different sections of a figure that can be controlled or edited. and I know there is a type of loading glitch where if there is no geometry detected they show the actual bounding boxes as geometry.   I want to know if I can do this deliberately because it would be very helpful in seeing what parts of the figure are considered their own segment so I can work solely on that segment.
