I don't know of any, what trouble are you having with it?
Well, I just bought it, so I may be missing something, but the 'easy to use' steps shown on the product page are vexing me.
I see two guides. I can move it into position and re-scale. I can't see how to line up the guides, though. There is only one movable bone. And it renders much more intensely than expected. Am I doing something wrong?
The guides seem to be just there to show you where the planes will be. I usually switch them off and load an effect onto the screen. You can adjust the ambient to change the intensity of the effect. Maybe downgrade the ambient to 25%
I would also make sure you have it selected to be 'make transparent' and not 'make solid'
The Guides are meant to be pointed at the camera so you see 2 boxes, I use rotate to do that. That sets the effect PLANE flat to the camera so the effect is not foreshortened. then you turn the guides off and apply your effect for the full effect as shown in the thumb nails. You can turn extra and not worry that much, but that is what they are meant to be used for, as shown here.
Ohhh. I was thinking up/down, not rotate, lol. Thanks :D
I was playing with the transparancy. I didn't think to fix the ambiance. Thanks :D
I am plainly an idiot. How do you turn the guides off? I'm using DAZ 4.6 and I cannot find the option in the various menus.
You select the fx plane and go to the product view for the hero fx. There should be the option along with different types of surfaces. Sorry, on my handheld so I can't show a screenshot.
Also remember that this product was created back in days of PPP/P5. The materials work out of the box in Poser but like any pre-DS product, they need tweaking in DS.
Selecting the plane and going to product view product view doesn't call up anything for Hero Fx.
Man, I wish I knew what I was doing. What tweaks are needed. I'm afraid I'm going to need step-by-step help. There doesn't seem to be a tutorial anywhere for this.
This Product is not a Smart item. You will be better off just using the Products Tab to use the item. In that view it all lists at one time on my PC set to FILES as the Default search type.
Along the top are 4 tabs: "Actors, Wardrobe, and Props", Pose and Animate", LIghts and Cameras", and "Render".
Under AWP are two tabs along the top. "Files" and "Products". The "Products" tab only comes up when I use the sub-tab "Smart Content."
Hi:
This product will only display properly when using product view.
To access this
1.Be in Render tab.
2. Click content library
3. On right side click Products.
4. Find HeroFX
5. Click on the option indicated below in the screenshot.
This product also installs to the runtime folder inside the content folder. It uses the very strict Poser runtime file structure as well as path names are absolute.
You may find it easier to look for this product in the Poser content directory using the content tab.
I'm not usually one for bumping old threads, but this one is not really that old and I wanted to call attention to Jaderail's post about 1/4 from the top.
Even though he's gone, he continues to help me. And others too; I'm certain of it.
That's all; I just wanted to share that for a moment. I now give you back the rest of your Saturday evening.
