Hair Shader for both modeled and strand-based hairs

This occured to me yesterday when I was creating a scene and the modeled hair I was using rendered out too thin. I decided to "thicken" the hair by adding some strand-based hair to the back of the model's head to make it look fuller. While it did work, the problem is that now I'm trying to figure out how to make both hairs match in color, so they'd better blend in.

Of course, I'd be more than happy to buy such a product for time-saving convenience. From the looks of it, it seems like it would have to be a new custom shader since both hair surfaces are very different from each other.

There are a few if you search. Personally, I like https://www.daz3d.com/uht2-ultimate-color which I use in most renders. You may need to experiment with different tile sizes if you combine different hairs.

I've used this and am currently using ColorWerks, which I like better, IMHO. I'm trying to figure out how to match the strand-based with the hair I'm using. The only luck I've been having is with simple colors like black.

I'd be happy with color presets, but I guess I'll have to keep experimenting.
