I have two gloves, but only one of them has mesh smoothing options.

I want to use the gloves that come with the Voyager Outfit for G2M with my G8M character.  Recently purchased Fit Control, and am liking the way I can narrow them down.  Of course, some pokethrough is to be expected, but I was easily able to remedy that by adjusting the Collision Iterations under Mesh Smoothing.  Well, the thing is, that's just for one glove.  The set has each glove as an individual wardrobe object - and only the LEFT glove has a meshi smoothing section under the parameters.  I should note that I'm not using any clothing converter items, just Autofit.

Would that be a problem with the product, or with Autofit?  And is there some advanced setting or process I could go through to change this?

Probably a mistake but easy to fix. Select the glove, go to file/figure/geometry and select "add smoothing modifyer".

  • Thanks! I had a feeling the answer was probably simple, and would involve a menu I seldom visit!

Here's a nuts and bolts question, from someone who doesn't do much 3D work.  I notice that 'Figure' and 'Object' both have a pretty same-looking list of options. What, when and where would I use 'Figure' vs. 'Object', or more specifically, what's the difference between the two?  Would 'Object' be, "An inanimate thing that exists in the world, that is not a wearable?"  I'm assuming 'Figure' refers to humans and/or things with bones.

As far as I know the duplications are just for conveninece. Some things are specific to figures or objects, but the rest are repeated so you don't have to go hunting through a third menu or switch mid-task.
