Don't know how many accounts were touched, but when checking the account today there was this nice little note to change the password.
Breach was from another website, don't know which one.

I didn't have a change of password notice
Nor I. Maybe I'll logout and back in to check.
It's the Adobe breach. They've done the same thing a few other vendors (like Evernote) have done which is download the breached Adobe file and look to see if your account is registered with an email address found in the Adobe file. If it is, they give you a warning suggesting you change your password (since many people are stupid and use the same password on multiple sites). If you don't have an Adobe account, or you use a different password for Adobe than you do anywhere else (such as at dA), then you don't need to worry about it.
You'll get more than that...
Mine was one of the accounts that was suspected of being breached. Never had any charges charged to by account. I got an email from Adobe stating that a whole bunch of accounts were breached and mine was suspected of being of of them and if it was they'll send further information. So, what you get if they suspect your account is included in the "encrypted" info that was lifted is a written snail mail letter was Adobe along with a code for a identity theft protection service which must be activated before a given date in February. They also recommend using credit reports. I believe, it said in the letter you can pull three for free in a cycle from the various credit reporting agencies. They also notify your bank. My bank sent me a notice it was invalidating my debit card on a set date and reissuing a new one based on the breach. Luckily, I got my new debit card before they invalidated my old debit card. I also had to change my Adobe ID password and was urged if using that one anywhere else to change those as well.
Thanks, that explains the note then. Was tagged by the Adobe breach too.
Thanks for posting this. I also had the notice at DA. I wouldn't have seen the password change request over there if you hadn't posted here.
Actually it was facebook and yahoo. If you got the message on da then you need to change your passwords because yours was identified as being posted online

Well I'm not on Facebook ... but many are and I suspect that their statement probably has a lot of merit.
Can someone tell me what DA is?
Major website where many here display their artwork and/or shares.
DeviantArt
Thanks, I know the site just have not seen it called it that, in that way.
Okay. Don't recall where I first saw it referred to as DA but late at night it's easier to spell ;-)
