Making a Coat

I have never made clothes for 3D. How difficult would it be for me to learn to make a winter coat made of leather for Genesis 3-8 Male? Is there a simple program to use that is not going to make me spend the rest of the year learning.I only want it for a project I am working on! Or could someone make it for me? Cheers

How much, if anything, do you know about modelling? How much, if anything, are you willing to spend?
I know nothing about modelling. Am familiar with DAZ Studio and Poser.Do not have a lot of money to spend however could afford around $20! Cheers
I think this is one of those cases where if you have to ask, then no, it's not something you're ready for. Building something with anywhere near the detail shown in the image takes a ton of skill, and likely a knowledge of at least two or three different software apps. And even if you do build it, you'll then need to figure what to do with it. You can rig it to attach it to your character, or do a cloth simulation. Those are both a whole different set of skills and software.
Here's an intro to a design course to do something like that in with a couple of professional softwares, including the expensive Marvelous Designer:

I think your best best is to see if you can find one for sale that fits your character.
If you can find something like that for $20 you're very lucky. A very skilled modeller would likely spend weeks to make something like that. I can't even imagine doing all the detailed stitching and wrinkles and buttons, etc.
lots of Hexagon tutorials by Arki in the flash sale though
Agreed, you're probably looking at something that would take about 100 hours of work. Unlikely to find anyone willing to work for $0.20 / hour.
Unless it has to be EXACTLY that coat, take a look at some existing products though:
If you wanted it in leather, there are TONS of Leather shaders available in the market to change the fabric of any of those coats as well.
If you really want to learn modelling, Blender is free, there are tons of youtube tutorials for free. Might only take you a few months to learn how to make that coat.
Many thanks everyone. I think I may be able to do something with the Count Outfit! Cheers
