I thought I'd see what the SubSurface Base Shader would look like if used with an M4 Elite texture on M6. Converting the texture using the M4 Skins Auto Converter went ok and I swapped the EHSS for the SSS Base and entered settings based on those for the M6HD Bjorn texture.
When I came to render it, for some reason, the ears weren't rendering properly, they'd always come out a different colour despite having selected all the skin surfaces and entering all the settings at the same time. I just don't get why the ears should be so different when everything else looks the same. It isn't that the light is making them look that way due to the effects of the SSS either, if you look closely at the root of the ear in the render you can clearly see the edges of the texture and the whole ear is just a different colour.
Does anyone have any idea what could be happening!?
CHEERS!
PS (Just in case there is an issue with the texture conversion, I have posted in a thread regarding that also.)
EDIT:
The issue was with the M4 Skins Auto Converter and not the SSS Base shader. There is an error in the script somewhere.

As you can see in the render below, there are no issues with M6 and his standard texture. Perhaps I could try the Lee render but with the settings from the M6 texture......
