You can't use the new hair tools or the new dforce hair then.

Is it even worth it over good hair products like OOT's hair?

Not really interested in the new hair since I learned it's locked down to vendor only for adding dforce. Haven't seen any hit the store that impressed me enough to change my mind yet, maybe in the future perhaps.

If Daz studio had game engine animation, I would do dforce hair and dforce clothes but it does not so why even use it on a 2d still creation software. Don't get me wrong I love daz studio and when I do comics it is strictly Opengl renders and then cleanup in Photoshop then onto Comic creation software for finish. For quick renders Opengl can not be beat. If daz upgrades Opengl to Vulkan and includes shadows I will probably stop using Iray althogether. hahaha

Unfortunately, you can't, unless you happened to keep the installer for it. You can try filing a ticket, and beg them to give you a download of it. I usually keep the old version around for at least a year of using the newer version these days
