This may not help but I just went into a 'crash cycle' with DS and the LAMH Puma - what worked is loading the LAMH Puma into an empty scene. If I loaded it into a scene with an existing figure (as I was trying to do) DS would crash every time. But load the puma then merge the scene and all was/is well.

Those are the correct presets to load a Big Cat with the LAMH hair.

This is what I did to get the crashing to stop.

You must use either the LAMH OR the free LAMH player Beta versions. You cannot have both installed, links here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/33792/

Since there are some "hoops" to register for access and download the LAMH Beta product, I decided to

    1. Not install the LAMH Beta product.
    2. Download and install the LAMH Beta player. I installed the lamhPlugin.64.dll file into C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins\lookatmyhairAM

No recurring problems with loading one of those Big Cat presets into an empty scene after installing the LAMH Beta player.

UPDATED: I noticed DIM is installing the Player .DLL into DAZStudio4\plugins folder. I have it installed into the lookatmyhairAM subdirectory and it's working there too.

Lindsey: I did that yesterday the guy who made it PM ed me with the link and I was able to play with it...to try to create my own hair....That was too hard for me ...and I saw everyones big kitty's with fur and bought the 10 dollar package today....and it keeps on crashing...I am loading it the same way I do everything else...and like Simon asked me ...my scene is empty...except for trying to load the kitty with fur.....It should not be this difficult.......I just want a kitty with fur.......Here are my installed files... is this what you have???

I put a support ticket in ...Thanks

Are you using the LAMH Player BETA at the link I gave in my previous message? The LAMH Player in the DAZ store doesn't work and will crash when you load a Big Cat with LAMH (hair).

I checked where DIM is installing and the lamhPlugin.64.dll file and it's installing it into C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins\ or where ever your DAZStudio4\plugins\ folder resides. Again, make sure you're installing the LAMH BETA PLAYER .DLL into that folder that you download yourself from the link in my previous message.

I posted on this issue here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/33754/P195
I've managed to get it to render once, and haven't been able to do that again.

Okay as pointed out by AM and Ken. Only the LAMH Player Beta (64 bit I find) off AM's site, or the Full LAMH from DAZ 3D with the LAMH full Updates off AM's site will run the BC2 files, nothing else is supported for the BC2 furs. I use the LAMH Player Beta (64bit) and it runs properly with ALL my LAMH presets. Even the Woolly Mammoth. Shown here...

Did all that before the crashing started.
Kendall posted in the thread I linked to, that this is being dealt with. It would be nice if this gets fixed.
