dForce problem creating a round tent.

I don't have much experience with dForce, but have been able to create simple cloth draped items like caftans which have all worked perfectly on Genesis figures.
I'd like to drape a circular plane onto a cone primitive to create a round tent. No matter what the simulation settings, the round plane (cloth) always penetrates the cone primitive half-way through the initialization phase. (screen-shots attached.) The cone is set as the collision item.
This should be very simple - shouldn't it? I've played with all of the simulation settings, and nothing seems to prevent the problem.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I don't have Studio open, does the cone primitive give you and option to add planes to the sides? As in, divide up the sides into more polygons? Based on your image, it looks like there isn't enough geometry there for the plane to "see" the long edges with no breaks.
I would place another object on the top of the tent, like a small sphere, so there is sufficient geometry to catch the plane.
That said, a plane or even a round plane will give a somewhat bulky tent with lots of folds, as there will be way more material in the plane. that what is needed for the tent.
You might be able to reduce that is you set expand-contradiction of a value below 100, so the cloth will contract.
Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate your help.
Interestingly, I discovered that if I simply modify the geometry of the cone primitive with "Edit/Object/Geometry/Convert to SubD", the problem is solved by "rounding" the edges.
