Is 4.11 causing kernel panics and reboots on macOS 10.14 or is it my Mac?

Last month, I upgraded the RAM and CPU in my Mac Pro. I don't know if it is coincidence or not, but I've had 6 kernal panics since then. I also recently upgraded DAZ to version 4.11.0.383. I had about 5 panics and spontaneous reboots within the first week. I thought it was DAZ Studio that was doing it because it’s always running. I took it easy the past 2 weeks and have not had a render going. I thought maybe this new CPU ran a little hot, but it is well within spec. In any case, I bumped my fan speed up to keep it running under 60C. I have not been running DAZ for over 2 weeks. There have been no kernel panics and no spontaneous reboots since. 

Today I decided to lauch DAZ and have a go at a render. I ran the render for about 1.5 hours, stopped it, and hit save. As soon as I hit save, the Mac just rebooted and displayed the dreaded “black curtains”. Looking at this crash dump, does this look like DAZ is crashing, or is it the RAM and CPU? 

Is anyone else seeing this with 4.11?

    The paninking piece of code is "com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement" so I guess there is something weird on one if the cores asit reports

    which mean one core just refused to be there.

    Conclusion, nothing to do with DS except rendering with CPU makes all CPU work hard, CPU Power management handles fans and cooling, so that might be working less that optimal causing a core to self protect and die.

    I agree with Totte. I've been successfully using OSX 10.14.5 and DS 4.11 on my 2019 Mac Book Pro.

    It might not be a bad CPU. What model Xeon did you replace with what new one? The new CPU might be outside your TDP envelope. Most software isn't going to peg your CPU, but rendering with sure will.
