Is There A Simple Stand-Alone Rendering Engine?

I've tried to wrap my head around third-party rendering engines because I've head they work much, much faster. (And should be able to do render queues as well?) But it's a swamp to me.

I've looked briefly at Carerra, Blender, Luz and a couple others and just trying to get through the very beginning basics makes my head spin. From what I can take away, though, effectively I have to re-build whatever scene I want in the render engine all over again since nothing but the models are saved when you export.

I don't need that in my life. I need something I can point at my saved scene, and have it render the thing.

Does such a thing exist? And is it actually ever faster than Daz' iray renderer itself?

Unfortunately no accomplished render engine is likely to be that simple to use.

Nothing will be faster than the inside DS workflow. I used reality with Luxrender for years, but setting up materials and rendering inside DS made my workflow 50% faster
