[Solved] Iray Canvases: Emissive surfaces not contributing as much to litghting as I expect

I am trying to render a specific object frrom a scene as it's own layer for postwork. This object has some emissive surfaces on it. Full scene looks great. However, when I render just the specific object using canvasses and the "beauty setting", the emissive surfaces have a much less intense glow (maybe 25%). If example images are needed, I can provide.
I am still learning canvases and I'd really like to be able to render specific objects within a scene without any impact to the lighting of the scene. Does anyone know how to do this when emissive objects are involved? Thank you for your time.

I usually change the unit of measure from cd/m2 to kcd/m2 for a 1000-fold increase. That is often too bright then and so decrease the default number from 1500.
Also as your render progresses and more details of light & shadow are added the rendered scene can sometimes be more what you expected.
I don't think we're talking about the same thing here. In the full scene render, the emissive surface intensity is exactly what I want. But when doing a canvas render of a single object, the emissive lighting fades (or is being ignored in some way?). I will post a side by side comparision to help illustrate what I mean.
This video might be helpful. Be sure to watch part 2 also.
Thank you. I will give it a try.
Thank you barbult. I believe that got me over the hump.
