Hello, noob here again.

Does anyone know how to remove the helpers from a model when exporting as .obj?
I can make them non-visible in Daz but when I export they appear as part of the model.

Usually you need to set their opacity to 0% in the software you load them in. I haven't tried the polygon editor if you might be able to hide the polygons before export using that.

Making something invisible isn't the same thing as removing it from the scene. It's still geometry attached to the figure or object you're exporting. If you want to remove the helpers, you'll need to delete the offending tabs in a modelling program, or make them invisible by use of materials in whatever program you're loading them into.

So, there's no way to remove them in Daz?
that's a shame because they appear as part of the model in meshlab, not separate components, so i can't remove them there either.

Blender and Wings3D are both free modelling packages which can remove these handles.

There are many more which can be found using Google,
