CMS is part of the DAZ Studio install, and should install by itself.

How are you installing DAZ Studio, DIM or by yourself?

    Using DIM

DIM installs it into C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\Content Management Service, have you looked in there for it?

yes I did And didn't see it. Just check again and it's still not there.

I was having problems with it stopping all the time and did what some one had said to do. I stopped the service and uninstalled it. then reinstalled Daz 4.6 but the content management service didn't re-install.

    There's a stand-alone CMS installer in C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1\cms

Thank you very much for telling me where the installer was located.

I was trying everything to get it installed. uninstalling daz and reinstalling it, cleaning the registry restarting the computer several times.

Every so often, my cms stops working. I have no idea why or how, but it seems that every few weeks, I have to uninstall CMS, uninstall DS, then reinstall DS (which then reinstalls CMS) However, AFTER i get to the uninstalling DS, I then go in and remove the databases so fresh ones are created during the reinstall. Then i reimport the metadata upon first opening DS.

The databases are located in ProgramData/DAZ3d/content management service - i deleted all files in the databases folder.
