You may have a corrupt database, which can prevent Daz Studio from starting.Bring up task manager and make sure that there are no instances of PostgreSQL listed or Daz Studio. If there are, end each one.
Next, find the ContentCluster folder. If it was installed using the default settings, it should be in
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms
Rename it, and restart Daz Studio.
That could, I believe be attributable to folder permission issues stopping DS from proerply connecting to the database - though it does seem to be at least partially successful. What security software are you running, and have you recently restored files from a back-up (since DS was last running correctly)? Also, have you used the Run As Administrator command on DS or DIM in the past (don't try it now - I am asking about beforehand).
Security software uses windows defender.
I've run it in admin mode several times since it didn't work.
Where should I set the rename?
Anything you like, maybe ContentCluster_Old. After that, start DS and see if it starts.
I'm asking where the ini file to set the reference is.
Rename the actual folder in Windows Explorer.
Renaming did not change the situation.
Running in Admin mode may be part of the issue, if you had doen so before it stopped working.
Even in normal operation mode, the main screen did not appear at all like this video.
Running as admin can create issues that then persist.
If something goes wrong in the normal mode after running it in the administrator mode, etc., how should I deal with the problem?
Have you tried renaming the C:\Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4 folder?
Often it solves most of the problems, but don't delete it directly since it contains all the settings. Make a backup first or simply rename it and rerun DAZ Studio.
The result of changing the name and re-executing it was not resolved at all.
Rename Result is Failure
Rename Result is Failure and Cloud log
There's the chance the path I wrote there could be wrong, try doing that on similar named ones too. I always forget which one is the right one among all them.
I watched your video again, as I can see DAZ Studio is running correctly but the interface can't be showed for some reason. Usually it depends on some corrupted file (like the QT ones, that I think are responsible for DAZ Studio's interface) or not-well-working video drivers. Keep in mind that DAZ Studio's interface is driven by the GPU. Try reinstalling the video card drivers.
Exciting!
Can't wait to test this:
from Daz Beta changelog" "Added an option, to the Hardware page under NVIDIA Iray Advanced Render Settings, that allows the user to enable/disable Iray CPU fallback; requires restart to apply changes"
Want to start using Beta with Timeline improvements. Is Rob taking bribes for early access?
They've also (finally) added in GUI support for setting Iray's NVLink Peer Group Size variable. Meaning that vram memory pooling between NVLink-bridged RTX cards should now be actually possible.
I guess this means that the rendering will stop instead of reversing to cpu. May be this will make things clear for those who can't track it in the log.
Personally I'd rather aim for daz to include at least a texture resizing utility inside daz studio, since 4K textures are killers for most cards. Then to include the scene optimizer addon as standard in daz studio would be even better.
Well, right now, the beta crashes for me instead of falling back to CPU, logging

multiple times (you would think once would be enough?) before crashing entirely. So anything would be an improvement.
I seem to have a problem no one else has. My Studio session will begin to slow during either Render Settings changes or just moving an item (though this doesn't usually happen on fairly light scenes). When it does, my CPU usage shoots to 100%, fan noise increases exponentially, and I have to shut down Studio for that to stop. Happens whether Iray is in Preview Mode or otherwise and it has happened in both 4.10 Pro and the 4.12 Betas. Could be my machine, but no other program that I use displays this sort of behavior. So, I don't know what to do (though I'm about to upgrade my mobo/GPU(S) anyway, so I guess I may never know haha).
I tried to reinstall the driver but
There was no change in the situation at all.
Check your log file. Do you see lines like the following regularly interspersed with the normal "Received update to xxxxx iterations" there?
ETA: Also, if you fire up GPU-Z while rendering as this is happening, switch to the Sensors tab for an active GPU, and check the "Bus Interface Load" field, does it register >1% consistently?
Changing the Max Render Time (in seconds) restarts the render; I don't recall this happening previosly.
I have a 2070 RTX Super and still on 4.12.0.86. Should I update to the latest beta?
Can some one tell me about NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 8000 and Quadro GV100 Graphics card , can i use it with DAZ Studio 4.12 ?
what is benefits get ?
Thanks .
I'm using it, but I have backups of previous versions just in case; it seems ok.
Does the new Beta function for NvLink also work for 2x 2080Ti's? Or just for Titan/Quadros?
As far as I know, NVLink is for Turing cards. Anything before that is SLI.
