No limits please

I have been a new user here for some years and rarely need to ask anything, not because I know it all but because mostly I manage well enough. I figured out how to set characters in a scene for no limits, but I wonder if there is a way to set no limits as the default for DS instead of having to go through the motions everytime I create something...

Any answers would be much appreciated...

Thanks David

You could remove all the joint limits in the character in question, then save that as a Scene subset or character, and load that instead of the regular character.

But honestly, unless you are doing some whacko positions and exaggerations, the limits to the joints have the purpose to keep things functioning and looking "normal". i.e. with human characters, you otherwise end up with something very "ouch" looking that would end up a regular human in the hospital with torn ligaments and broken joints.

Thanks very much. What you suggest does of course work but its perhaps more trouble than selecting everything and turning the limits off. My preference is to start everything with limits off as the default for characters. I accept that sometimes things can get out of whack, but you can always undo to recover a position thats abnormal. Its a question of convenience really because limits on is truly limiting and I prefer to work without pre imposed limits.
