I tried, and uninstalled 4.6.1.39. It has some nice new features, but some too big, weird bugs.
For example, autofit clothing parameters show up as figure sliders when the figure alone is selected, and interfere in selecting body parts of the main figure.
Trying to do a simple y rotate of the clothed figure, with only the figure selected in the scene tab, the clothing turns but the figure doesn't.
I've reverted to an earlier 4.6, which is more stable, but having updated the Essentials to match 4.6.1.39, how, or is it necessary, to return to that earlier level of Essentials without a wipe redo of my system.
I can provide screenshots, but this particular level of malfunction is severe, and should never have made it to the general release level.

You can turn off Display Followers in the Parameters/Posing/Shaping tab options menu.
What's the version you're going back to? I don't think any of the recent changes to the Starter Essentials will cause problems in a previous version, but I can look into it.
Thank you, fixmypcmike,
I restored to 4.6.1.18, I think it is. It's the one with the ghoul, the hell-elf maiden, and the fiery cauldron splash screen.
On the Display Followers, I'll look a that. I really prefer the latest version, .39, for several reasons, but on my machine it's wildly erratic. For a while I thought the strange behaviors were related to another product, AoA's Advanced Spotlight, which never seemed to do the same thing twice. But I find if I revert to earlier versions of Studio, that light software seems to calm down and behave predictably.
