I’ve got an idea that is an inverse of something I did for the Rosity forum.  Messing with alphas, reflections, and visibility count as a camera trick?

To achieve exaggerated perspective, move the camera closer and set the zoom to a lower number.   pg457 of rara manual

To work faster, you can move and orientate the camera with a 3-button mouse using the following shortcuts: • Option/Alt + Left Mouse Button will rotate the camera (Dolly). • Option/Alt + Right Mouse Button will Track the camera horizontally and vertically. • Option/Alt + Middle Mouse Button will move the camera back and forth. • If your mouse is equipped with a Mouse Wheel you can use it to move your camera back and forth.

Tracking You can track the current camera in the following ways: • Vertical and depth track • Horizontal and vertical track • Horizontal and depth track • Depth track only Tracking affects the camera's position without affecting its orientation.

Dollying Dollying changes the camera's position and orientation while keeping it pointed at the same spot in the scene. The visual effect is similar to rotating an object, except in this case, it's the camera that moves.

Banking Banking changes the camera's orientation only, rotating the camera on the Z axis. This creates the effect of a tilted horizon, which is useful for creating tilted cockpit views.

Controlling a Camera Directly The Direct Manipulation controls for a camera provide an on-screen description of the camera's aim, zoom level, and position. You can drag control handles to change these properties. NOTE! These features are not available for the current camera. You must view the camera as an object to control it directly. To display a camera's Direct Manipulation controls: 1. Select a camera in your scene window. Note that you will not be able to select the camera from the viewport that looks through the selected camera.
Display the Properties tray: General tab: Camera panel. 3. Click the Direct Manipulation button to display the controls on the selected camera.

There would be a convergence point where it is just tracing paths already traced I imagine

was experimenting under the theory more light scattered would reduce haze.

there's an awful lotta haze in my kelly lodge render.

and then when i do want the haze, like inside a cave with a sleeping dragon on a pile of gold,
can't get the level of haze i want.  doh

no sympathy for smaug. bad draggy

Played with reflections. Instead of having a mirror NOT show a vampire in the wider scene, I decided to have a mirror show skeletons NOT visible in the wide scene.  Composited the beauty pass of one render with the reflection pass of another.  Result was postworked in Filter Forge.
