Layered Image Editor ?

I'm attaching three pictures.

Shirt 1 is of a shirt using a military pattern that too big for the shirt.

Screenshot is where I opened the Layer Image Editor and change the 100% to 50% on the X and Y Scale.

What I end up with is shirt 2 picture. Where the texture only shows up on a small part of the shirt instead of a smaller pattern.

I've also messed with the document size with no real luck. The texture always ends up blurry.

Any thoughts? Am I misunderstanding what the X and Y scale is suppose to do.

Thanks

I'm afraid that the L.I.E. does not tile the texture. So it could be used to take an image and make it a logo/patch on the t-shirt, but it isn't going to take a small swatch and replicate it across the whole shirt. If you need it to cover the whole shirt, you'll have to create the tiled texture using a paint program then you can use L.I.E. to apply your new image to the shirt.

Thank you, I understand how it works now.
