Iray render switch from GPU to CPU after first frame... (solved! Kind of :)

Hi everyone!
Occassionally when I render a image series (around 100 frames), the render switched back from GPU to CPU after the first frame :o
Needless to say the quality deteriorate a lot especially since I set the time limit for each render to 10 minutes.
After researching a bit from this forum there were many nice suggestions including reducing the number of geometry, restarting daz studio or even restart the PC. I tried different approaches unfortunately the issues persist.
Finally what works in my case is switching off the Optix Acceleration in the render mode (it’s located under advanced tab, where you can select CPU/ GPU render). Thanks too those who suggested this!
Since then the render goes consistently smooth and no CPU switching happened. Not sure it solved every cases but hope this can help some of you!
Happy happy rendering :)

Usually, that switch happens when GPU runs out of memory. And that memory usage is largely unpredictable.
To troubleshoot this issue I recommend using some software to show GPU memory usage, for example, OpenHardwareMonitor
