Isn't OptiX supposed to speed things up? (Daz 4.12 beta)

When I use OptiX in the 4.12 BETA version the render times are worse than without. When I use OptiX with 4.10 it's faster though (same scene). What happened?

Ah thank you. I read the latest posts and it seems like OptiX is always activated (kinda) even if it's not checked.

I just noticed this with the newer beta (only happens in 4.12.0.42 as 4.12.0.33 is considerably faster - though still slower than 4.10 Pro ).
