Genesis 8 Cross-Figure Resource Kit - No Instructions?

I can't get this product to work at all.

Here's the store page for reference: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-cross-figure-resource-kit

I've tried everything I can and looked all over the files for some kind of instruction.

Every time I try to use the thing it just errors out with no further troubleshooting help. Should I just ask for a refund and stick to autofit or am I missing something here?

  • I wish I could help, but I've got the same issue.  I stumbled upon your post searcing for some support.  At least now I can monitor your thread to see if anyone is able to help.

    From another related thread:

The Genesis 8 Cross-Figure Resource Kit ReadMe has a complete procedure (instead of the usual User Guide that was provided with the G3 and G2 version).

That answers how to do it, but I'm not seeing how to make it available through smart content and/or reuse the morph asset?

Read Step 5 carefully. You are saving a Morph Asset for an existing item, you are not creating a new item. From the Content Library, load the original, say, a Genesis 8 Male item, and, if it doesn't Fit To Genesis 8 Female automatically, you can right-click on it to get the Fit To... popup, and select Genesis 8 Female. I haven't installed the Genesis 8 version yet, but I assume it works the same as the Genesis 2 and 3 version. As to Smart Content, that depends on the metadata, which I don't think is changed by this utility. You would have to add that yourself, which is another world of its own. One step at a time...

Now that would have been a handy item to include with the package lol ...

On the sidebar there, one can also download a .pdf file.
