DS 4.6 Auto-fit - unsupported figure - SOLVED

When I try to auto-fit some V4 tight fit pants to Gen 5 base figure I get the auto-fit dialog, but none of the figure templates I have show up in the drop down list where it says unsupported.

1. I have the latest DS 4.6 installed.

2. My Gen 5 content is in a single folder (including Gen 5 Starter Essentials).

3. My Gen 6 content is in a single folder (including Gen 6 Starter Essentials).

4. My Base content is in a single folder.

Therefore 3 folders.

5. I have SRMS and Gen X and every Gen 3 and 4 to Gen 5 compatibility item.

6. I re-imported content db just in case DS didn't know what I have installed.

Can someone please help me fix this?

It sounds as though your CMS is not running, have you checked that?

In Windows, go to the Task manager and look for ContentManagementServer.exe as a running process. If it is not there, try starting it form Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D.

If CMS is not running, you wont have any Smart Content or Categories and Products either.

If all three folders are read by DAZ Studio properly the Autofit should run properly. As noted check to see if the CMS has failed.

Well you are correct. CMS is being stopped and restarting the service does not fix it. I have to restart DS 4.6.

CMS keeps running up until the point I try to fit the V4 pants to base genesis.

I moved all genesis 5 & 6 content into 1 folder along with DS base content and updated the content library folders. That did not help.

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

Did you Reset the DataBase? It will now hunt content in orphaned folders until the Database gets told not to.

Do these one at a time in this order. TOP check first. Bottom check second and then Middle check. Let each run fully then close DS and reopen DS. I think that will fix your issues.

Thanks to both of you for responding.

Yes it was the CMS. I had fiddled with my library folders so much, it did not have a clue how to handle the changes.

Your suggestions would have worked if my DS and CMS installations were not so messed up.

I did try your steps but I could tell it was too fubar'd to fix that way.

So I wiped Carrara, DS, and CMS from my system and registry and then did a vlean install.
    Now it works.

Again thanks for the help :-)

I am happy again ...... atleast until the next problem :-)
