Groundplane what should I do with this?

Hello
what does this groundplane mean with the clothing in the folder.
what should I do with this?
I'm still inexperienced with this.
see my image of the folder.

I don't have the product and cannot find it in the store (despite the search suggesting the name ..) but I'd suspect it is there to be a handy item for the dForec dress to collide against so that it drapes properly and does not end up hanging below the feet.

  • okay thanks for the answer, I'll give it a try

  • Thank you for the answer, I tested it and yes what you said was absolutely correct.

Glad it worked and I was right! :)  The raeson I guessed at that is that with some dynamic clothing teh mesh density of the items involved (the dress and groud plane in this instance) caan need to be close for best effect: think of it like a sieve: too coarse a mesh will allow everythign to fall through).

  • it is possible that I can also make a groundplane myself, because not every clothing has a groundplane

Yes, very much so - just create a primitive plane with enough divisions to do the job.

is it possible that you can explain this to me how to do this?

Assuming your figure will remainpretty much in place at location 0,0,0 (where it should load):

Crate> New Primitive ... Select Plane from the Type drop down list, leave Origin and Primary Axis at default values (World Center and Y Positive).  Set Size to something like 5 and pick meteres (m) from the drop down list and give it somethign like 50 Divisions.  That should give  something of sufficient size and mesh density to act as a decent collision item for dForce to be abel to make use of.
